If you had to be an animal for a week, which one would you be and why?
If I had to be an animal for a week, I would choose to be Kate, the border collie who works on the farm with Sean the Sheepman.
As a border collie owner, this short makes me smile. Kate has so much fun. She is active, intelligent and constantly using her problem-solving skills. She spends the day outdoors, gets plenty of exercise, enjoys the companionship of her owner and has meaningful work to do. She seems to love every minute of it.
What strikes me most is how excited she is to go to work. Instead of counting the hours until work is finished, Kate’s work appears to make her more fully alive. It suits her abilities, engages her attention and gives her a clear sense of purpose.
Good exercise, great companionship, good food and work that matters. That sounds like a good life to me.
