Yesterday our marketing team decided Nia needed a College hoodie for Open Day. She was perfectly happy with the arrangement.
The photograph catches her in her characteristic crouch, ready for the game to begin, while I stand there laughing.
She didn’t mind at all. She knows these people. She knew we were playing.
That is one of the things I love about her. She trusts us. If we are doing something slightly ridiculous, she assumes there is probably a game involved and joins in.
Perhaps that is her gift: she takes play seriously.
I don’t think that’s a bad philosophy of life.
