Not a shadow, not an “it,”
but the living breath of God,
the third person—
to be worshipped, adored, obeyed.
If you belong to Christ,
you are not waiting for a top-up,
no half measure,
no trickle-down of holiness.
You have all of Him.
But does He have all of you?
Where He is,
there is life,
growth,
faithfulness.
Not dead religion,
not tame or sleepy faith.
Jesus knew the cross was near,
yet He said:
I will not leave you.
Another will come—
the Advocate,
the Comforter,
the Helper.
God’s own presence,
not bound by roads or planes,
not one place at a time,
but here, now,
with every believer across the earth.
He teaches,
reminds,
opens the Word like a lamp.
The Spirit wields Scripture as His sword,
never divided from it,
always lifting our eyes
to the Son.
He is the theatre light
meant not for Himself,
but to set Jesus
in dazzling view.
He transforms.
Not by self-help,
not by willpower at dawn,
but by resurrection power.
Shakespeare’s genius
couldn’t breathe through another,
but the Spirit of Christ
lives His life in us.
A new heart,
bearing fruit:
love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness,
self-control.
He empowers.
The timid turned bold,
disciples became witnesses.
The same Spirit who raised Christ
now raises courage,
gives gifts—
hospitality, leadership, tongues,
song, service—
all for the glory of God,
all for the good of the world.
Helper who never leaves,
Teacher who shows us Christ,
Transformer shaping us like Him,
Power that proclaims His name.
